It’s hip to be square at SpongeBob’s Yellow Party
Aprroximately 8,700 Nicksters young and old alike were treated to a fun summer shindig as they hit the Bonifacio Global City Open Field for SpongeBob’s Yellow Party. Kicking off the first saturday of May, the event had SpongeBob fans embracing summer with an afternoon filled with thrill and excitement.
“We want kids to have fun and celebrate the summer by having a Nickelodeon party [because] we know how much kids want to be with SpongeBob and his friends,” says Nickelodeon Country Manager Ana Pulido. “SpongeBob is incurably optimistic, innocent and always means well. This is what everybody identifies with and that’s why we all love him,” she adds.
The fun-filled afternoon event offered various kinds of kid-friendly entertainment such as activity booths and performances. The Bikini Bottom-inspired bash went all out with its themed games in which young kids learned teamwork and determination and were rewarded with amazing prizes including toys and Nick merchandise.
Guests were all smiles as they eagerly checked out what was in store. In between cheesing it up at the SpongeBob photo wall, trying their hand at Bubble Bowling, and viewing a special screening of the latest SpongeBob SquarePants episode, guests kept themselves comfortable by lounging at the Cooling Mist-ery Hut and enjoying yummy refreshments such from the concession area and treats from the sponsors.
Inflatables such as the Bouncy Obstacle Reef and the Big Wave Slide also kept the partygoers’ energy going. Surprise performances from the show’s stars, SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick Star and Squidward Tentacles, took their energy levels to an all-time high. Of course, what Nick event is complete without slime? Kids had a taste of all the gooey green stuff at the Bikini Bottom Slimeshack and the Squirt Loader Station.
